Porn, Sex and Internet Addiction

While it is obvious that some substances such as alcohol, cocaine and amphetamines can be addictive, it is not so clear how the use of the internet or sex can be addictive.  It has to do with complex brain responses to pleasurable activities as well as the avoidance of anxiety, stress, depression and pain.  Treating addiction means to treat a whole person, to restore proper functioning and to go on from there to create a truly happy life.  By recognizing the addiction, the possibility opens for a rich and rewarding life.
